Montverde vs. IMG - 12/21/19

I Went to Palm City Classic on Sat.in Ft. Myers, FL and saw Montverde Academy and IMG (top 2 HS teams in USA). Amazing, but not surprising how many games in week-long tourney were decided by free-throw shooting.

In college, Villanova beats #1 Kansas goes 4 for 10 from the line and missed late 1 on 1 opportunities. A missed 1 on 1 is actually a turnover. Not only do you miss an opportunity to score 2 pts. on uncontested 15' shot, but you give your opponent the chance to score 2-4 more points.

In the last 2 years, I have gone to 15-20 major college practices and am still amazed by how little time is spent on the physical and mental aspects that decide so many games. Poor shooting technique by players, and surprisingly poor practice routines established by coaches.
