UCLA Makes Final Four Due to Foul Shooting

Last weekend, UCLA advanced to the Elite Eight beating #2 Alabama in an exciting overtime game. UCLA shot 80% from the foul line going 20/25, while Alabama shot a horrendous 44% going 11/25.

UCLA beat #1 Michigan by 1 pt, shooting 86% from the foul line while Michigan shot 54%. Freshman star Hunter Dickinson for Michigan shot 1 for 4 although he’s a 74% shooter during season while, teammate Mike Smith normally an 80% shooter went 0 for 2. Michigan as a team shot 78% for the season. Shows how the mental aspect of free throw shooting is important.
