NBA Playoff and Foul Shooting

Looking at team stats this morning, interesting to see how many teams missed playoffs or are have lower seedings due to poor free throw shooting. Percentages have increased a bit over the last couple of years. So many games in NBA are decided by late game foul shots it’s still surprising it’s not a major point of emphasis. Any thoughts or comments?
